Tunnels contract achieves ISO 55001 certification
The Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel Asset Management Services team has achieved ISO 55001 certification!
ISO 55001 certification is a globally recognised standard. It outlines the requirements and guidelines for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an effective asset management system.
Achieving ISO 55001 certification signifies that our contract has a systematic approach to managing assets, including infrastructure, equipment and facilities. The approach aligns with our goal of delivering value for our client, Transport for NSW.
Early warning systems for over height vehicles
Ventia has installed a new system that aims to add another warning before tunnel entry. It was identified that a solar-powered, wireless detection and signalling system would work best. A stand-alone warning system that complements existing ones, and any future upgrades made to the surrounding network.
The current final over height warning sign consists of a giant STOP message projected onto a water curtain at the mouth of the tunnel. The truck then needs to reverse over 100m to a nearby slip lane, where they no longer block traffic.
Let's talk about your next project.
